Saugus

Turn an RFQ into a buyer-ready 3D model in minutes.

Saugus is a self-hosted buyer-engagement platform for make-to-order manufacturers. It turns a customer inquiry (an RFQ, an engineering drawing, or an email) into a buyer-ready 3D model on its own, and checks that model against the drawing's dimensions and features before anyone sees it. The model drops into a gated review where your buyer rotates it, leaves comments pinned in place, and approves, before a single source file leaves your hands. Everything runs inside your own environment, so your IP never leaves your boundary.

Who it’s for

For sales and applications engineers at make-to-order and precision machine shops who win work on RFQ turnaround, and cannot let a customer drawing or their CAD source leave the building.

Capabilities

What it does, concretely.

  • Autonomous CAD from an inquiry

Drop in an RFQ, a drawing, or an email. Saugus builds the 3D model on its own and keeps correcting it until the geometry is right, with no CAD seat to open and no manual modeling.

  • Conformance validation against the drawing

Before anything reaches a buyer, Saugus reads the drawing for part numbers, stock form, envelope, and critical features, then checks the model against every one. Every deliverable ships with a conformance report, not a hope.

  • Gated 3D buyer review

The buyer-ready model opens in a 3D viewer with measurement, section views, and comments pinned in space. Buyers rotate, mark up, and approve. Your source files stay locked until you choose to release them.

  • Share links that expire, fully audited

Share a view-only model through a link that expires and limits its own use. No login for the buyer, every view logged for you, and nothing about the part leaks.

  • Shop standards enforced, not guessed

Your tolerances, materials, and stock forms load as hard requirements. The agent treats them as non-negotiable inputs, so what it produces matches how your shop actually quotes, not a generic best guess.

  • Self-hosted: your IP never leaves your boundary

Saugus runs inside your environment, wired to your systems. Everything (the model generation, storage, the viewer, the audit trail) runs inside your walls. Nothing about your parts or your customers is sent to anyone else's cloud.

Section 01

Make-to-order wins on the RFQ race

A make-to-order shop wins or loses on how fast it can put something tangible in front of a buyer. The bottleneck is not the machining. It is the days between a customer's inquiry and a model they can react to. Saugus collapses that to minutes: the inquiry comes in, a validated 3D model goes out, and the buyer is rotating it and leaving comments while a competitor is still scheduling the kickoff call.

Section 02

Built to stay inside your walls

Manufacturers do not send their customers' drawings and their own CAD source to someone else's cloud. Saugus is self-hosted by design: everything runs in your environment, wired to the systems you already operate. The buyer sees a model they can approve; your intellectual property never leaves the building.
